Are children welcome to stay? And what facilities do you have for them?
Of course, but we ask that parents and guardians keep a watchful eye. We don’t have any play park facilities here but there are lots of woods for some back to nature supervised exploring. We also have a selection of board and card games that you can hire and you are welcome to bring outdoor toys or balls with you, but we do ask that you keep them to the top of the camping field.
Do you allow campfires?
Yes we do, we have a campfire area in the centre of the site which is communal for everyone’s use. We ask that you either purchase logs on-site to use on the fire, or alternatively bring your own.
Under no circumstances can wood be collected from the surrounding forest.
What do I need to bring?
We ask that everyone who books a stay in one of our glamping units brings their own towels and torches as these are the only items we don’t provide. Please note the short walk to the facilities building is currently un-lit.
We also suggest that you bring sensible footwear and appropriate outdoor clothing as the weather here can be variable.

Do the glamping units have electricity?
None of our glamping units or tent pitches have electricity, the lights in our glamping units are powered by solar power. We do provide a locker in reception for our glamping customers to charge your devices in however we’d greatly appreciate a small donation into one of our charity tins, we suggest 50p per item.
For campers we can always assist you with charging a phone/device in our reception building and would greatly appreciate a donation to our charity tins.

Is there parking near the glamping units?
Unfortunately not, you are welcome to park by the drop-off point and take the short walk to the glamping unit. We provide wheelbarrows on-site to help you with items, or if you need assistance then please feel free to ask a member of staff, we are always more than happy to help. All cars must then be kept in the car-parking area.

How close is the nearest pub/restaurant?
Our nearest pub and restaurant is in the village of Invermoriston, which is 2 miles from us. You can reach this by car, by public transport and by foot along the Great Glen Way. There are more restaurants, pubs and fish and chip shops in the village of Fort Augustus which is 4 miles from us and again can be reached in the same way.
How close is the nearest supermarket?
There is a small community run shop located in the village of Invermoriston, or there is a more well-stocked shop and Pharmacy behind the petrol station in Fort Augustus. There is a Scotmid in Drumnadrochit and larger supermarkets can be found in the city of Inverness and/or Fort William.
How far is it from public transport?
We are fortunate to have an unmarked bus stop located outside the campsite; you will find that the Citylink buses will get you to many destinations in and around this area. We provide a bus timetable located in reception.
Is there WiFi access on-site?
No, we don’t provide WiFi access for customers. We are a place to unwind, relax and have a digital detox. Mobile signal here is also intermittent depending on your mobile phone providers, however once out of our area and into nearby villages you will find better coverage.
